CAREER PATHS IN MARKETING

“Marketing is an organizational function and a set of processes for creating, communicating, and delivering value to customers and for managing customer relationships in ways that benefit the organization and its stakeholders” (AMA 2004).  The major activities include identifying customer wants and developing, pricing, communicating, and delivering products that satisfy customer, organization, and stakeholder needs.  Marketing is a set of activities used to implement the philosophy of customer, organization, and stakeholder satisfaction.
